Meet your dentist

A Chicagoland native who traded the lakefront for the Emerald Coast, Dr. Lauren has spent her career treating only children.

She is opening Gulf Grins because she wants unhurried appointments, honest conversations about what needs treating and what can safely be watched, and a plan built around your child’s growth rather than a schedule.

She is a board certified specialist and a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the Florida Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

Why Gulf Grins exists

Gulf Grins was created from a simple belief: children and families deserve a dental experience that feels welcoming, personal, and genuinely centered around them.

When I began looking for where I wanted to continue practicing pediatric dentistry in the area, I realized that the kind of practice I envisioned didn’t quite exist.

Gulf Grins is my opportunity to create a pediatric dental office where children can feel comfortable being themselves, parents feel heard and supported, and excellent dental care is built around relationships rather than simply appointments.

I wanted to create a practice that feels like it belongs here — a place that reflects the warmth, laid-back spirit, and sense of community of the Gulf Coast while providing thoughtful, high-quality pediatric dental care.

Most importantly, I wanted Gulf Grins to be a place where I would genuinely want my own family to receive care.

This practice wasn’t created because there was a perfect opportunity waiting for me. It was created because I saw an opportunity to make something better — and decided to build it.

Our approach

Growth, development, habits and diet all shape what happens in a child’s mouth. Looking at all of it is how you prevent problems instead of repairing them.

Proactive, not reactive

Recommendations built around your child’s growth and development, so we’re catching things early rather than drilling later.

Honest about treatment

We will always tell you which cavities need treating now and which can safely be watched. Including when the honest answer is that nothing needs doing yet.

Built for kids who find this hard

Sensory sensitivities, autism, ADHD, or a child who simply had a bad first experience. Longer appointments, quieter rooms, and desensitizing visits where no treatment happens at all.

Privately owned

Not a group, not a corporate chain. One dentist who will still be here when your child is a teenager.

The space

Our office on US-331 is being built now. Photographs of the finished space follow before we open.
